Whose Is It Anyway?

If you give a gift card or cash present to someone for their birthday do you really expect to know what they put those funds towards? Or did you just give it to them out of the kindness of your heart because you felt they deserved it for one reason or another? If this is the case, then you probably don’t mind how they spend it, all you care is that they know it came from you as a gift because you care about them and were in some way honoring them on their special day.

Is Your Sabbath Showing?

What does your Sabbath look like? Does your family know what the Sabbath is? What kind of legacy are you leaving behind for your family and those around you that God has placed in your circle to witness to?

Our God, our Creator has creative power, which sets Him apart from other gods. Our God created the heavens and the earth, the seas and all that is within them (Exodus 20:8-11, Acts 4:24, Jonah 1:9, Psalm 96:5). He did this in six days, and on the seventh day “He rested from all His work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy…” (Genesis 2:2-3).

Overwhelmingly Deserves Praise

We are to praise God daily for the blessings He’s bestowed upon us and even for those He’s withheld from us. Praise is an important part in how we can and should communicate with our Father. We are called to praise and worship Him. When we praise God, we are glorifying our King, the omnipotent One. Our purpose on this earth is to bring Him praises and glorify Him. If we aren’t wholeheartedly praising Him, then how are we giving God all the glory?

Do You Wanna Win the Lottery??

So my dad told me this joke, a blonde joke actually – don’t take offense. I’ll make a connection and use myself as the blonde okay. So I (the blonde) kept praying to God, “God please just let me win the Lottery. I promise to use the money to do really good things; I’ll help out my family and donate to charities…” and so on and so on.

It’s Time to Surrender

Did you give it all to God this week; faith, trust, patience, confidence, time? We can’t predict our future, what we will be doing next week or even next year, but God can and He will. His plan for us is more perfect for our circumstances than what we could ever come up with on our own.
