Have you ever hit the bottom financially? If you’re like me, you probably prayed the prayer… Lord, please help me and when you do……….. I don’t know the remainder of your prayer. However, would it shock you that God remembers what you said in that hour of despair? Have you followed through with your promises to God? Years ago a mentor friend of mine taught me the biblical principles of giving to God the first fruits. Now this is a highly contested subject… money always is! But did you ever notice the ones arguing are usually the ones that don’t give? LOL.

My point today is simply this: be careful in what you promise to do if you don’t have the faith to back it up. It does us no earthly good to be able to debate like a theologian and have the “gifts” if we are stingy and fail to make adjustments in our own lives so that we can give more. The Word of God in Deut 8:18 says, “It is God who gives us (YOU) the ability to produce.” Remember, our Lord is patient. However take it from me… don’t push it!

    Well-Intended People
Recently I began reading a book called “Well-Intentioned Dragons” by Marshall Shelley. The crux of the book is dealing with problem people. Do You Love Your Church?
I love what Jesus says about the church. The church is the bride of Christ. He loves the church because the church is a place where we tell people about Jesus and what He did for us. It’s a place where we can share each others burdens and be a family. When you brag on [...]

    The Spirit is Moving
The word of God says that Jesus has ascended into heaven and at this very time sits at the right hand of God the Father. If that is not enough for you, according to John 16:7, Jesus sends us the Holy Spirit to live within each believer. John 16:8 also happens to give us the [...]

    Lead!
When we think of Moses, we think “Leader” with a capital L. The guy was awesome! It seemed like daily he would look to heaven and say “OK God, what next?!” And as another day passed, Moses would again look to heaven and say “How about today, Lord, tell me what to do.” Moses was [...]

Verse of the Day

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

(Ephesians 5:1-2, ESV)
