What if we spent more time reading the Bible than we did watching TV? What if we gave the guy on the corner a meal and skipped our Grande Non-Fat Skinny Latte? What if we spoke of Jesus more than we spoke of sports, news, etc? What if we were more excited to enter the house of God than we are to see a certain movie or go to a concert? What if we were purposeful about spending as much time with our families as we do with our careers? What if we prayed more than… well, anything? WHAT IF?

Friends, I’m preaching to the choir here, we all struggle to put first things first… in which case for us, the first thing is Christ? The only thing is Christ! When the word tells us of God’s infinite patience, His desire to see all come to repentance, is it possible that He needs to have more patience with those who are saved than those who aren’t… because we are neglecting to do our jobs?

Think about the above questions today and challenge yourself to make a small step today, the next day, and the next day… let’s be purposeful about living our salvation until the whole world hears.

    Do You Love Your Church?
I love what Jesus says about the church. The church is the bride of Christ. He loves the church because the church is a place where we tell people about Jesus and what He did for us. It’s a place where we can share each others burdens and be a family. When you brag on [...]

    The Spirit is Moving
The word of God says that Jesus has ascended into heaven and at this very time sits at the right hand of God the Father. If that is not enough for you, according to John 16:7, Jesus sends us the Holy Spirit to live within each believer. John 16:8 also happens to give us the [...]

    Lead!
When we think of Moses, we think “Leader” with a capital L. The guy was awesome! It seemed like daily he would look to heaven and say “OK God, what next?!” And as another day passed, Moses would again look to heaven and say “How about today, Lord, tell me what to do.” Moses was [...]

Verse of the Day

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

(Ephesians 5:1-2, ESV)
